We are thrilled to welcome bestselling author, television personality culinary expert Bonnie Stern to the Relish Kitchen. For over 35 years Bonnie Stern has been showing Canadians how to make cooking fun through her twelve bestselling cookbooks, national television shows and weekly newspaper columns in the Toronto Star and the National Post.

Today she joins us to showcase some exceptional Middle Eastern dishes, rich in flavour and spices. She will introduce you to many ingredients that comprise this fascinating cuisine as well as entertain you with stories and highlights from her vast knowledge of the culture and cuisine of the area.  Bonnie is the perfect person to introduce you to Middle Eastern flavours as she has lead eight culinary tours to Israel and will lead a ninth one this coming February.

MENU: Chirshi (Tripolitan Pumpkin Spread with Tahini), Meatballs with Chick Peas, Swiss Chard and Bharat, Feekeh Pilaf (Green Wheat) with Caramelized Onions and Herbs, Lemon Polenta Cake with Almonds, Pistachios and Lemon Syrup

About The Instructor: BONNIE STERN

Bonnie is the award-winning author of over a dozen cookbooks including Friday Night Dinners and hosts a unique book club where authors attend and dinner is included.  Bonnie owned a beloved cooking school  and cookware shop in Toronto from 1973 to 2011 and among other honours she was the recipient of the Premier’s Award. Bonnie says “ I love to cook and believe in the importance of family meals.”
