Handmade Pasta With A Sicilian Twist (Hands On)

After her recent culinary trip to Sicily, Relish Co-owner Maria will teach you how to make her  favourite Sicilian pasta –  busiate everyone gets in the fun making a special sauce for an authentic Sicilian experience.

In tonight’s hands-on cooking class, Maria will share her love of Sicily plus teach you how to make her favourite egg-free pasta. Everyone will get in the fun of learning to make Busiate, a kind of macaroni which are formed by twisting the pasta dough to create a spiral shape which is hollow in the center and looks like a telephone wire. Learn about the history of the island and where this pasta shape gets it name from.  This pasta uses flour water and salt – no eggs. You will also make an authentic sauce to serve with the pasta.  The evening will conclude a dessert that everyone loves on the streets of Sicily.
