Join culinary authors Smita and Sanjeev Chandra as they journey along the curry trail and sample its delights. Smita will introduce you to the unique spices of Indian cuisine including when and how to blend and toast them. We nibble on delectable lamb samosas wrapped in crisp puff pastry, explore how chicken tikka masala became a national obsession in England, wander into the royal kitchens for a taste of saag paneer with cumin rice pilaf and warm naan and end up with the British classic sticky toffee pudding, with an Indian twist! Immerse yourself in the lore of curry as Sanjeev recounts the fascinating story of how it spread around the world!

What To Expect In Our Demonstration Classes: Great cooking isn’t about recipes – it’s about techniques. MASTERING THE CLASSICS focuses on teaching students the methods and techniques to cook classic French dishes lead by our qualified instructors.
- Classes are for students 16 years and older and are 2 1/2 – 3 hours in length
- Demonstration classes mean you sit-back-and-enjoy while we do the cooking. This is a very interactive experience.
- Demonstration classes have a maximum of 22 guests.

Smita Chandra is the best selling author of 3 renowned Indian cookbooks, the Easy Tandoori cookery app (available for iPhone, iPad and Android), spokesperson and recipe developer for Kraft Canada, cooking instructor, freelance food writer for several publications, TV personality and South Asian cooking expert.
Smita has made commercials for television and appeared on several prominent TV and radio shows such as Christine Cushing, Anna Olson, The Mom Show, Kitchen Equipped, CTV’s Balance, Breakfast TV, Mary Ito’s More to Life, CBC Radio’s Fresh Air, World band media, and national Public radio.
