Getting Into The Instant Pot Craze

Well, we totally caved and bought into the craze – the Instant Pot craze. Like hoverboards and selfie sticks, the Instant Pot has become a cultural phenomenon that people simply can’t stop talking about. Completely a Canadian invention, this new kitchen electric appliance burst onto the scene a couple of years ago. Think of it as the Swiss Army knife of countertop appliances – it can slow cook, pressure cook, sauté, steam, make rice, yogurt and so much more. We certainly remember the days when our parents used their pressure cooker and it was an “everyone stand back” announcement when the steam valve was released and the lid removed. While we don’t sell the appliance at Relish, we have been experimenting with some fun recipes in our kitchen for our upcoming January 24th cooking class “Crazy For The Instant Pot”. We are sure there are quite a few people eager to experiment with their new Christmas gift, so today we give you a simple beef curry to make in your Instant Pot.
