Beginning a Life of Wedded Bliss
Do you remember throwing your first dinner party, post-wedding vows? For many young couples it’s the same as before they were married but you have the added benefit of breaking out the new, shiny wedding gifts from your registry and ditching the joint collection of chipped and mismatched kitchenware you’ve been holding onto since you moved out on your own. Such is the case for Maria’s daughter Laura, who will marry her sweetheart Liam, this coming Saturday. While these two lived at home until the big day, they have just acquired their first apartment and are so excited to settle into married life and host their first dinner party. It certainly helped that her mother owns a cooking school and kitchen store and Laura was able to do her bridal registry at Relish. When we asked Laura what she loved about the experience, she said “I really loved being able to walk through the store and take my time deciding on sizes and colors of everything we were putting on the registry. The online website was easy to navigate, and as major foodies, we loved all of the gorgeous cookware we could choose to use everyday in our kitchen.”
Today’s recipe for Summer Gazpacho With Basil Oil comes from our upcoming Tapas and Paella class lead by instructor Paula Costa (www.dragonskitchen.com) and is the perfect seasonal starter to a summer dinner party. There is no actual cooking involved – a blender is all you need. We have put together a complete newlywed’s dinner party menu for Laura and Liam, which you can find below. In the meantime, we wish Laura and Liam all the best as they begin their new life together.
